Delivering Commitment to Community, Tazkia IIBS Routinely Holds Tazkia Award and Scholarship 2020
Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held again the Tazkia Award and Scholarship Program 2020 on saturday to sunday (12-13 / 12). Running for eight years, the programme was participated by 27 candidates from some regions in East Java. It provides educational opportunities for orphans and high-achieving students by allocating an education fund with a total of 200 millions rupiah. This programme is a tangible contribution of Tazkia for society.
The manager of student admission (PSB),
Ustadz Syamsu Dhuha, S.Pd, explained that there are three categories of scholarships, first is the orphan dhuafa with achievement, second is dhuafa with achievement, and the third is achievement scholarship.
The scholarship programme is intended for students in grade 4,5,6 of primary school and grade 9 of junior high school or equivalent. This scholarship was received by around 10% of the Tazkia students in each period. It has been running since Tazkia IIBS was founded and is a commitment of the institution to contribute to community.
The participant should fulfill required documents to register. Orphans and financially incapacitated participants would require a certificate of orphans and incapacity by the local village office. Participants are also not allowed to receive scholarships from agencies, institutions, or individuals as long as they receive scholarships from Tazkia.
We are targeting this programme for high-achieving orphans and poor people. They would be covered for the tuition and living cost for three years full. If they have been registered since junior high school, then they will automatically become scholarship recipients when they continue to Tazkia High School, he said.
Furthermore, he explained, that the participants would take a series of tests. On the first day, participants will take part in a series of orientation processes and interviews for guardians. While, interview of the candidates and test of reading the Quran will follow.
In the second day, prospective students will take part in the Psychological Test and Academic Potential Test. The final stage is survey and document checks to ensure the validity of the test results.
The entire test series was carried out online, due to current conditions, however, the quality of the selection is of the same quality as the previous years, explained Ustadz Dhuha. (nai / lil)
