Thursina Student Association of 2024-2025 Period Officially Inaugurated, Ready to Present New Innovations

Following a long nomination and election process, Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) inaugurated the new management of Thursina Student Association (TSA) for a period of 2024-2025.  A total of 54 administrators from each campus were appointed directly by their respective school principals, as part of leadership regeneration in Thursina IIBS (5/10).


The inauguration of TSA in female campus was held on Thursday, 03/10. Alyssa Aulia Putri Wahyudi has officially become the President, Anca Sheika Salsabila Putri Candra as the first chair and Keisha Rafidah as the second. Meanwhile, the inauguration of TSA in male campus was held a day after, on Friday, 04/10. Arya Mahbub Al-Qudsy was officially appointed as the President, accompanied by Iqbal Maulana as Chairman 1 and Adhis Alvaro Safaraz Putra Ismawan as Chairman 2.


 

 

The supervisor of TSA in female campus, Ustad Hendika Wicaksana S.Pd, explained the selection process for management staffs this year was conducted more thoroughly, with 220 candidates  registering. They had to pass a series of tests, including file selection, psychological tests and interviews.


The final formation of management organised by the election and student teams, following the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session, the final selection stage attended only by presidential and chairman candidates. Then, the oration and election for presidential and chairman candidates were the last process.

 

"We are looking for a leader who has a caring spirit, is able to work in a team and inspires other students, also considering etiquette and politeness towards teachers," said Ustad Hendika.


After the inauguration, all new male and female TSA administrators engaged in Basic External and Internal Leadership Trainings (LDK). The external training was carried out in collaboration with Batu Air Defense Artillery Education Center (Pusdik Arhanud), with various disciplinary trainings, outbound and fun games, aiming to improve the leadership and engagement of the team.


 

 

Furthermore, the Internal training is managed by the student team and Human Capital Management (HCM) of Thursina IIBS. They learnt regarding organisational and conflict management, and strategic issues, followed by designing programs for student activities along one year period.


Ustad Hendika added most of TSA administrators this year are new, and have the novel ideas in management. Many breakthrough program innovations have emerged during the speeches. He hopes the new teams are able to encourage students with creative ideas implemented in many TSA programs.


"Remain optimistic and patient through the process, because success is not only about the result, but also a process carried out with determination," he said hopefully. (Fid/lil)
