Celebrating the 79th Independence of Republic of Indonesia (RI), Thursina International Islamic Boarding (IIBS) held an independence ceremony both in male and female campuses (17/08). Attended as ceremony supervisor, Ustadzah Hilmia Wardani, M.Pd in female campus and Ustadz Imam Baehaqi, M.M., in male campus. The official ceremony was attended by all students, teachers and staff. The event, in addition, was enlived with traditional games competitions and cultural performances.

Ustadzah Hilmia, in her speech, stated that for 79 years, Indonesian people have been indebted to the heroes, since then we have to remember their struggles. It is necessary to internalise what independence itself means.

"Remembering these national heroes needs to be followed by internalisation within oneself. One of them is releasing self confinement, pesimism," explained Ustadzah Hilmia.

There are two inner confinements that have to be released by a student. The first is mental blockage of being afraid of achieving, seen as ambitious and creating new good things. These fears need to be eliminated therefore new courage emerges.

"The second is fear to show self-confidence. Self-confidence is paramount because later it will be fruitful and reaped," she added.

While, in male campus, Ustadz Imam Baehaqi, M.M spoke about a vision of Golden Indonesia in 2045. Twenty one years from now, Indonesia would have an extraordinary abundant demographic bonus in which Thursina students will take part inside as people aged 34-40 years. The best age in the human life cycle.

"When Indonesia celebrates 100 years of independence in 2045, the time is yours, who will be part of realizing the ideals of  Golden Indonesia. Focusing on achieving Indonesian society that is advanced, prosperous, highly competitive, and has excellent and noble character," he stressed.

In order to prepare golden generation, Thursina IIBS has designed personal characteristic through the 4 pillars of independence which also were carried out by previous fighters, including Religious, Caring, Open-Minded, and Inspiring namely RECODING. "These 4 pillars have been prepared for Thursina IIBS students to become outstanding people to welcome 2045," he stated.
