Supporting Students Studying Abroad, Thursina IIBS Conducts Thursina Scholarship Hunter

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) is committed to assist students to achieve overseas scholarships through various programs by Thursina Scholarship Hunter event (30/1). It is a collaborative program of Thursina International Office, Indonesia Scholarship Center (ISC), and Schoters by Ruangguru. The program aims to accommodate the increasing interest of  studying abroad through scholarships.

Based on the explanation of Manager of Overseas University Enrollment, Ustadz Moh. Suhaili, S.Pd., to manage activities and programs sistematically, Thursina IIBS needs to collaborate with some parties. There are two types of programs,  community-based and 1on1 mentorship. The difference is that seminars, workshops or mentoring activities (essay writing, Curriculum Vitae (CV), etc.) are community-based, carried out in regional study groups. Meanwhile, 1on1 mentorship took students in a more personalized and paid program. They get the support from well-known tutoring institution, Schoters by Ruangguru. The participants will engange in personal mentorship with the experts to prepare themselves for global scholarship competitions.

There are several benefits offered. Firstly, registered Thursina IIBS students will receive a discount (specifically for 1on1 mentorship program). Secondly, institutional cooperation would ensure the quality of mentoring as it is monitored by the institution. Thirdly, students are able to be actively involved in organizations as volunteers, especially in managing programs in the particular community.

After volunteering, each student will receive a certificate, as proof of participation as well as prestigious portfolio. It is recognition of the skills in leadership and social engagement. Moreover, the certificates issued have significant added value, for referring to ISC, registered and recognized by the relevant ministry. "For students who would like to study abroad with scholarship, the main key is to have strong portfolio," said Ustadz Moh. Suhaili, S.Pd., emphasized the importance of portfolio.

International academic goals with scholarships are an opportunity for Thursina students to be brighter. It's not just about costs, but more about achievement and potential for personal development, especially when joining alumni network of scholarship awardee. It is Thursina IIBS's duty to provide as much access as possible. Thursina IIBS is more connected with various educational institutions from the embassy through this collaboration strategy, including as a speaker in Thursina program later. "In the following week, on Saturday, socialisation for the Guardians of high school students will be conducted for more complete information from Thursina IIBS partners regarding the program," added Ustadz Suhaili.
