Tazkia O-Week 7.4 : Promoting Tazkia IIBS to New Students

As many as 360 new students of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) participated in virtual Orientation Week (O-Week) agenda under the theme "Retreat Our Education Journey" on 27 of July - 01 of August 2020. Students were informed more detailed about programs, amenities, teachers, friends, and other regulations as preparation to start the class.

Ustadz Muhammad Rajab, M.Pd.I, as the Director of Tazkia Boarding School, advised to have high enthuasiasm in learning because it is the proof of faith of Muslims. He also reminded that Allah will elevate knowledgeable people into higher level.

Ustadz Rajab, furthermore, told about three things must be remembered by learners. Firstly, intention to learn because of Allah. The pure intention would ease learner to accept the knowledge.

Secondly, study by heart. If one does not learn by heart, he will give up sooner when it is challenging.

"The challenge you got examines you to see your intention and persistance in study," he said.

Lastly, prayer in each process of learning. Allah owns all knowledge, therefore all efforts in pursuing knowledge must also be pursued with prayer.

The supervisor of Tazkia Student Association (TSA), Ustadzah Ika Dewi Sumiati, M.Pd., conveyed that the main goal of O-Week 7.4 is to provide a picture of various activities in Tazkia and to know their teachers and friends closer.

The participants would have some briefings during a week to build their character and to understand how to learn. Moreover, they have some tasks related to self-development, such as describing themselves and telling it through videos to figure it out and so on.

Ustadzah Ika revealed that online system slightly inhibits the interaction process between the new students and their homeroom teacher. Therefore, the tasks are supposed to bring the students closer with the homeroom teacher and their friends.

"Through O-Week program, we hope the new students not only know about activities in Tazkia, buat also their friends and teachers. Support system would make new students easier to adapt in new environment later," she says to close the statement.
