Supervised for Further Studies, Thursina IIBS Alumni Get Overseas Scholarships, Again
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) is getting really serious about assisting their students in choosing university for further studies. Recently, four students have succeeded obtaining several scholarships at foreign universities - most of them in The Republic of Türkiye and another in Russia.
He is Raden Galen Bratasena Wijaya, accepted with full scholarship at Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Russia. Majored in Information Science and Computer Engineering, he is outstanding alumnus with prestigious achievement as well as opening up opportunities for his juniors to follow.
Manager of the Advanced Study Preparation Program, Ustadz Suhaili, explained that the scholarship obtained is Russian Government Scholarship, covering full tuition fees. All requirement
for the scholarship process were well-prepared. For those choosing Russia to be destined country, continued Ustadz Suhail, the selection includes administrative documents, interviews, and medical tests. "Throughout the process, Thursina fully facilitates and supports the students to fulfill the requirement as well as its training," he said.
Moreover, three other students have obtained educational scholarships from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Türkiye - they are Levi Hawali Nathaniel, Sandy Fahri Annazily and Human Arkaan Hartono.
Ustadz Suhaili told, they received partial scholarships for tuition fees, enrolling in courses using Arabic language as the medium of instruction. “All of them speak Arabic for using Al Azhar curriculum during their study in Thursina and have an official certificate from Al Azhar, strengthening their language skills," Ustadz Suhaili added.
They took the same major, the Illahiyat or religious major with Arabic as the language of instruction.
Islamic science, including tafsir, hadith, Islamic history and law, psychology of religion, sociology of religion, tarbiyah, kalam and so on, will be the topic of the study.
The four students, accepted in international universities, have become another encouragement for Thursina to provide active support and great asssistance for students, especially in further studies. "Our motto is to deliver students to their destined campus in that we assist them considerably and practically to realize their dreams toward their advanced studies," concluded Ustadz Suhaili.
