Students of Tazkia IIBS Triumphed in NEF 2019, Again
For more than a time, students of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) placed the first winner in National English Festival (NEF) 2019, represented by Adhyan Agung Elang Nurramadhany. Last year, the students also brought the first and third place in the contest.
Held by Teaching and Education Science University of Islam Malang (UNISMA), Saturday (10/26), the competition was followed by 457 participants from all over the country.
Ustadz Syamsu Dhuha, S. Pd, the companion teacher, explained, the competition consisted of 3 rounds. In the first session, all participants received questions from the committee about Grammar and Comprehension. Following by preliminary about 200 participants to go to final round, including 20 students only.
Adhyan Agung became one of the participants, completing grammar test and others thus got the highest score and won.
Ustadz Syamsu said, language as communication tool is essential to be mastered because it builds civilization. The olympiad becomes one moment to enhance interest and achievement in language. It is the most effective way to encourage students in learning.
Besides the appreciation obtained, it also promotes other achievement in various fields. Remarkable languange ability can guarantee the need of students in the future. "Language as tool and main capital in the later society" he said.
