Strengthening International Partnership, Tazkia IIBS Warmly Welcome a Visit of IISM
As a commitment to being a superior institution with international standards, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) re-established cooperation with educational institutions from the State of Jiran, last Saturday (18/08). During this time Tazkia IIBS received a visit from the International Islamic School Malaysia (IISM). Dr. Zulfan Haidar Zamzuri, Principal of IISM, received a warm welcome from Tazkia IIBS.
The gathering, at Tazkia Islamic Conference Hall (TICH), began with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an followed by a speech by the Academic Director of Tazkia IIBS, Ustadz Eko Nurhaji Purnomo, M.Pd. In his speech, Ustadz Eko said that IISM is an Islamic school where 60 percent of students come from outside Malaysia.
The explanation of the IISM program was delivered by the IISM Principal, who thanked all of Tazkia IIBS family in giving them the opportunity to visit. The main subject was sharing ideas about each others institutional. Ustadz Eko explained the Tazkia IIBS program and Dr. Zulfan spoke about the program in IISM.
"In IISM we use the full Cambridge curriculum, our main focus is on this curriculum. But we focus on strengthening the aspect of religion. Currently, we have students from more than 50 countries in the world, including Indonesia, "he said.
In addition to focusing on the Cambridge curriculum, IIS is a school under the auspices of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), therefore many students continue their studies at IIUM university. Dr. Zulfan also stated that Tazkia IIBS has many similarities to the curriculum that we apply, therefore we share the same opportunities and outlook.
Tazkia IIBS plan to have annual institutional sharing activities, including Overseas Programs to Malaysia and Singapore. Our hope is that Tazkia IIBS will be a sister school and further collaborate with IIS Malaysia, where not only Tazkia students visit IIS but IIS students can also visit Tazkia IIBS. (arf)
