Road to Study Abroad: Strengthening International Networks, Tazkia IIBS Focuses on the Collaboration with USIM
Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) visited University of Islamic Science Malaysia (USIM), on Friday (16/8), to collaborate in continuing education for Tazkia IIBS students.
Deputy of Asia of Tazkia International Partnership (TIP) Tazkia IIBS, Ahmad Fanani, MA, stated that Tazkia IIBS is highly committed to support their students to further education. One of these efforts is to build up institutional collaboration with several international universities.
Both institutes had had initial visit to assess how this collaborative relationship should be fostered, thus, in the occasion, Tazkia IIBS signed the letter of intent.
Tazkia IIBS and USIM seemed very close with the staffs because they have worked in a synergy including invitation of Arabic Debate Competition in last February, 22, besides annual field study of Tazkia IIBS students to USIM.
Ustadz Ahmad Fanani, MA and Ustadz Muhammad Wildan Shohib, Ph. D were representatives of Tazkia IIBS, while USIM was represented by some officials, they are: Director of USIM 'Alamiyyah, Dr. Khatijah Othman, Deputy Director, Dr. Muhammad Aunurrochim bin Mas’ad Saleh, Registrar Assistant, Muhammad Farid Ishak, and assistant of USIM 'Alamiyah, Siti Hawa Abu Kashim.
The meeting has resulted in some points; one of them is USIM has opened enrolment for first-year students per February. He said, the signing of Memorandum of Understanding will be held when the new chancellor of USIM has been elected.
To facilitate the alumni of Tazkia IIBS continues their higher education in USIM, review of certificate of completion will be held to easily identify whether they need matriculation or not. "This will ease the scholars willing to study in USIM to take the courses," said Ust. Fanani.
USIM has invited Tazkia IIBS students as well to participate in The Islamic Global School Network (IGSN 2019), a special program for high school students to gain invaluable experience from interaction and network with various international students.
"May this program run well and provide the best experience for students of Tazkia IIBS. Support and prayer from all stakeholders are fully expected for the success of Tazkia IIBS students", he hopes.
