Sheikh of Palestine Appealed Muslim Generation to Imitate the Path of Maryam

Syeikh Nashif Nashir Ahmad Abdullah, one of the Palestinian theologians, visiting female campus of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), on Monday (1/28), advised students to take Maryam as a model in their daily life.

Maryam, taken as one of the names of surah in Al Quran, must have valuable story that should be exemplified by all muslims. "Maryam should be a model, especially for recent muslim teenagers. Unfortunately, many favour on non-muslim figures." says Syeikh Nashif.

He told about the birth of Maryam in Yerussalem, Palestine, history of some prophets in the holy country, and Israel in which the control comes closer day by day. "They have built great high wall, however the fight of  muslim Palestinians to defend their country are going on till today" he said in front of all students.

He also displayed a video of how the spirit of Palestinians today defending their country, where the Prophet stopped over in Isra' Mi'raj. Some prophetic traditions told that Al Aqsa mosque is extraordinary for being the first qibla of Muslims to pray.

Al Aqsa, with silver dome, standing on Al Haram Asy Syarif in an area of 14 hectares,  has witnessed prolonged conflict between Israel and Palestine. There is Dome of Rock in the area, believed as footing place of The Prophet Muhammad SAW in Isra Mikraj trip. "The Dome of The Rock mosque is presumed as Al Aqsa mosque", he added.

This holy building becomes source of conflict between Israel dan Palestine. One of the triggers is Jews praying in the area; they call Al Hara Asy Syarif as Temple Mount or the Holy Hill.

In the end of the agenda, Syeikh Nasif offered a souvenir for students, memoriser of Al Quran, of Tazkia, following by pray for Palestinian Muslims. Tazkia IIBS opens fundraising for them from students and parents through Dakwah Center Team of Tazkia IIBS.
