Seven students of senior high school of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) of Sciencepreneur major undertaken internship program in last February. The apprentice is part of integrated project besides research.

The internship held in 24Slides Malang and Satwa Sehat Clinic this year. Although it only was held for a week, the students could gain new experiences enriching their knowledge.

The Chief of Sciencepreneur major, Ustadzah Ratu Fatimah, told, commonly, students know little about particular profession, therefore the choice of majors of their further studies tends to be homogeneous.

Therefore, the internship program arranged to aim students to understand the job description more deeply. "We suppose students know more about their choice of job and obtain first-hand experience from the professionals," she explained.

Students should propose with some requirements, curriculum vitae and portofolio, approved by supervisor, before the application to the internship partner gets approval.

Some institutions asked students to present their proposals. Ustdzah Rafa said, there were five teams to do the internship, however, only two groups were able to finish the program because the others should be cancelled since the pandemic is getting worse.

Founded in 2010, Satwa Sehat Indonesia is a company of veterinary and education, committed to be creative hub veterinary in 2019. While, 24Slides Malang is the branch of graphic design enterprise based in Denmark, founded eight years ago, in 2012, and has served international companies, such as, Amazon, Fox, Facebook, Adidas, Porsche, and so on. 

The supervisor reported that the program runs well, though, some owners questioned short time internship. Following the program,  students have shown some positive attitudes, such as discipline, respecting others and effective communication.

"Hopefully, knowledge and experience during internship would positively influence them and lead them to be more responsible of what they have choosen in the future," she said again.

One of the interns in 24Slides Malang, Ariqah Nadila, told that the program has helped her much in fostering her ability in design and the atmosphere of work there is positive yet supportive. "The seniors are friendly and work atmosphere is engaging," she said.

Another student, Zalecha Arum Putri, took place in Satwa Sehat Indonesia, revealed that she has obtained much new knowledge about pet and work in veterinary clinic. She got an opportunity to try several jobs, starting from clinic management, groomer, and nurse.

One interesting experience was learning how to handle dog by Islamic requirements. It was also memorable incident to handle aggresive pet; some staffs work together to treat it.

"For me, the work situation is supportive to learn and the training is held full day preceeding the work," she told.
