Officially Becoming SPK School, Thursina IIBS Heads to World Class Boarding School

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) has officially become the school of Collaboration Education Unit or Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) based on decision letter of The Ministry of Education and Culture no.13882/C/KS/2020 signed on 23 of December 2020.

SPK proposal has aimed to spread Islamic spirit through education sector and led to international level. The headmaster of Thursina IIBS for junior high school, Ustadz Rois Haqiqi, M. Pd stated that, Thursina could run the mission to spread its inspiration by the mandate.

 

Today, a number of international students learns in Thursina IIBS. They come from Thailand, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Japan, Canada, America, Netherland, and so on.

"Some teachers are also from the Middle East. Most of them teach in diniyah, Al Quran and Arabic language classes," he said.

It is supposed that the application of the SPK could be useful for prospective international students in Indonesia, especially, in Thursina IIBS.  In addition, the international teachers are expected to meet the needs of the lessons taught.

 

The SPK, additionally, would make it easier for Thursina IIBS to collaborate with foreign educational institutions to improve and ensure the quality and sustainability of education of Thursina alumni.

Previously, Ustadz Rois told, Thursina IIBS submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Education and Culture and was invited to present about the school profile.

 

"In the last August of 2019, we have made presentation as well as online submission.  Then, in 2020, we received a visitation from the Ministry of Education and Culture to have a direct review of the feasibility of SPK implementation in Thursina.  This was one of the efforts to elevate Thursina to the World  Class Boarding School, ” he explained.

Officially announced as SPK school, Ustadz Rois hopes that  SMP Thursina would create a breakthrough for the education development.  (lil)
