Raising Brotherhood and Caring for Others: Tazkia Students Held Service Programs to Pesantren Yatim Al-Ikhlas
Malam bina iman dan takwa (Mabit)-Tazkia IIBS was held, once more, in orphanage boarding school, Pondok Pesantren Yatim Dhu’afa (PPYD) Al-Ikhlas, Singosari. The event was followed by 305 female students, 188 male students, and 30 teachers. Beside reflection and intensifying faith to Allah SWT, mabit is supposed to strengthen friendship, learn life lesson, and foster concern toward others.
After opening agenda and room division, the participants prayed Dhuha together, followed by introduction session with the big family of PPYD Al Ikhlas. Then, participants were in Halaqoh Ta'dib after Dhuhur prayer. In the night, male students congregated in the discourse of 'Helping Each Other in Kindness' by Ustadz Imam Maksum, while in females, it was about 'Love Because of Allah' by Ustadz M. Ali Zuber.
The second day started from Tahajjud prayer to tahfidz after subuh prayer. The morning was filled with spirit when students from both colleges doing exercise, outdoor activities and cleaning around. Although sweating, they looked cheerful, excited and no-awkward gap. Students were pleased with the new family and valuable experience obtained.
One special thing was, in the third day, students of Tazkia IIBS bought breads produced by PPYD Al Ikhlas and shared to local people for free. Not only seemed the participants happy, but also the recipients welcomed them heartily. (arf)
