Gaining the Blessing of Knowledge, Regular Studies in Thursina IIBS Discuss the Book of Wasiatul Mustofa
Lately, routine study took place at the Thursina Mosque of International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) in male campus (12/05). The speaker was the Chairman of the Sharia Expert Council, Ustadz Fathurrahman Hafidzohullah. Unlike the previous study with thematic theme, he discussed the book of Wasiatul Mustofa. The goal is to be blessed from the sincerity of the author, therefore the readers and listeners receive blessing as well to learn the knowledge smoothly.
Ustadz Fathurrahman opened the meeting with the will of Rasulullah SAW to Ali bin Abi Talib directly. The will, if kept, promises a noble life, martyrdom and resurrection on the Day of Judgment as an expert in jurisprudence and science.
The initial discussion examines the first chapter on halal and haram, a topic that is considerably relevant in everyday life. Ustadz Fathurrahman explained that the Prophet emphasized the significance of consuming halal food and drinks. "A soft heart cries easily, is easy to advise and empathize, and the prayers are easily answered by Allah," he said, quoting the Prophet's advice to Ali.
In addition, he continued, the Prophet warned about doubtful food, unclear whether it is halal or haram. "The Prophet said that people who eat and drink from doubtful things will doubt their religion. It tends to apostasy and terrible conscience causing of weak faith and rejected prayers," he added, conveying the message of the Prophet.
The preacher explained, in another point, the Prophet's will regarding the wrath of Allah. "If Allah is infuriated by a person, He will provide sustenance in the form of illicit wealth," he told.
If His wrath is more provoked, He would delegate Satan to bless their wealth, thus it looks like they do not pray and are fond of sin but they become richer instead. Also, Satan keeps them busy with the wealth until they neglect religious matters. "And Satan misinterprets the word of Allah by calming and relaxing people to continuing the sins, whispering 'Allah is the Most Forgiving'," explained Ustadz Fathurrahman.
The discussion regarding the book was welcomed enthusiastically by the student and congregation attended. The coordinator of discipline of Thursina IIBS, Ustadz Muhammad Muqorrobin, M.Pd., said the forum serves as an event of book launching of Wasiatul Mustofa in Thursina IIBS. It will be used in subsequent studies until its completion. "Thursina IIBS is in the process of ordering the book, intended for students and teachers." said Ustadz Muqorrobin. (sls/lil)
