Presenting SSC Programme, Tazkia IIBS Prepares Final Grade Students to Attend University
As a part of Saturday Student Career (SSC) programme, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held campus introduction (10/31). Attended by all male and female students of grade 12 virtually, the event was presented by representatives of Ciputra University (UC); Ignasius Ferry as Student Counsellor of UC, Marsel Tansil Tungka as a student of International Business Management of UC (class of 2018) as well as the CEO and founder of Yumm.it. and Haidar Aji Fananda, the alumni of Tazkia, a student of medical faculty of UC (class of 2020).
In the introduction session, Ferry explained various amenities in Ciputra University, including student longue, some laboratories, and the new additional program, Apple Developer. He also told about some scholarship scheme through achievement. "Tazkia is included in our invitation to study at Ciputra University through achievement, thus a chance to get full scholarship is wide open," he said.
As a student and entrepreneur, Marsel revealed his long experience in UC, such as entrepreneur mindset, field practice, and adequate facilities supporting his learning process. He, furthermore, shared his experience in developing a start-up, starting from problem identification and solving, to considerable challenges faced. In addition, he talked about some tips and strategies in building start-up.
"The most crucial thing is identification of problem in community, then solving it through our enterprise. Selecting the team with the same vision is also essential," he told.
In the final session, Haidar Aji, the alumni of Tazkia IIBS, shared his experience of becoming the new medical student. He admitted that initially he surprised at abundant materials he needs to learn, however, he tried to learn and adapt therefore he could get use to it and found comfort in learning. Haidar also reminded to choose the destined major and campus long before the enrolment. "Whatever department and campus you go to, there will definitely be a lot of competition. Therefore, it should be prepared as well as possible, " he concluded.
The SSC program is a regular programme held on every Saturday. Tazkia IIBS invites students to know some universities, including the facilities, registration process, and certainly, scholarship opportunities that can be taken. Tazkia alumni will also attend as speakers in this program to share their learning experiences in their current department and university.
