Thursina Students Association Welcomes Ramadhan with Lively Events

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) welcomed the holy month of Ramadan with an on-campus event, Semarak Ramadan Santri. Organized by the Thursina Students Association (TSA), the event aimed to foster camaraderie among students while promoting creativity and innovation in greeting the arrival of Ramadan.

On the male campus, the TSA hosted a Ramadan bazaar and takjil festival featuring a variety of culinary delights commonly enjoyed during Ramadan. Visitors were provided with a diverse choice of foods and drinks, including kolak, es buah, and premium dates, perfect for iftar. The Ramadan bazaar also provided young entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase their locally made products and expand their market reach.

On the female campus, Ustadz Hendika Wicaksana, S.Pd., advisor of the association, reported that the TSA organized a series of events, including Business Day, a Ramadan Bazaar, and a Takjil competition. Business Day served as a platform for students to practice their entrepreneurial skills through hands-on selling experiences. It aimed to teach students how to establish mutually beneficial cooperation and partnerships.

“Meanwhile, the takjil competition gave students a chance to showcase their creative ideas in serving takjil,” noted Ustadz Hendika.

These events reflect the TSA’s commitment to nurturing a tradition of community and creativity among students. “We hope that Semarak Ramadan Santri strengthens relationships between students and inspires creativity as we welcome the holy month of Ramadan."
