Through Cross-Sector Synergy, Thursina IIBS Fosters Sustainable Education
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) attended 2025 Indonesian Scholarship Network National Discussion (26/02). Held at Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Building in Central Jakarta, the agenda was a collaboration among stakeholders, including Kemenko PMK, Indonesian Scholarship Network Association, the National Zakat Agency (Baznas), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and many others. The purpose is to strengthen the future of Indonesian talents with strategic partnerships, transformative development, and impactful scholarship ecosystem.
The manager of Overseas University Enrollment, Moh. Suhaili, S.Pd., said that there were 100 guests from various institutions, including scholarship providers and distributors and selected institutions. Thursina IIBS participated in the discussion forum and automatically joined Indonesian Scholarship Network Association. "It will be officially formed by a decree from the Coordinating Ministry for PMK. Thursina IIBS is able to be more active and involved in multi-sector collaboration synergies. The main goal is to develop the scholarship ecosystem," said Ustadz Suhaili.
At least, there are two objectives of Thursina IIBS in the event. Firstly, to promote the commitment of Thursina IIBS to scholarship providers. Indeed, the trust would help students to obtain the best education. Secondly, talent development of Thursina IIBS students through scholarships.
In the presentation of Ustadz Imam Awaludin, Ph.D., as Chief of Waqf, Endowment Fund, and Partnership, Thursina IIBS has established partnerships with some parties, including government institutions, foreign embassies in Indonesia, philanthropic foundations, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), to know more about program development and expand the reach of scholarships, including fundraising and endowment funds. Audiences with regional heads in the city or regency have been undertaken as well as tangible actions. "We are trying to introduce scholarship program to be more impactful in wider community. The scholarships are available for senior high school and university levels," said Ustadz Awaludin.
The participation in 2025 Indonesian Scholarship Network National Seminar reaffirms Thursina IIBS commitment to expand education access. In line with Thursina IIBS development roadmap in 2025, towards sustainable Islamic boarding school. Several opportunities available would lead students to achieve their dreams. Thus, the efforts of students to contribute to society are increasingly wide open, to spread knowledge and expertise through the spirit of Religious, Caring, Open-Minded, Inspiring (RECODING) values.
