Introducing VR and AI-Based Robots, Thursina IIBS Leverages the Quality of Student Learning

Advances in technology have powered the world of education on its progress. One popular tech is Virtual Reality and Robots Based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), adopted by Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS). The introduction was marked by grand launching to all teachers of Thursina IIBS, (14/5).

The Principal of Thursina IIBS for Middle School, Ustadz Rois Haqiqi, said that Thursina IIBS integrates Virtual Reality and AI-Based Robots to increase student involvement in learning. Besides,  Thursina is committed to adopt the latest technology to excel the quality of learning and create more interesting and interactive educational environment.

"One of the latest breakthroughs introduced is Virtual Reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) based robots with the theme "Unleashing your imagination". The devices aim to support the learning process, build excellent generation and future learners," explained Ustadz Rois.

The school as educational center is not only delivering learning material, but also initiating an inspiring and challenging environment. The use of VR and AI technology, he stated, especially in the world of Islamic boarding schools, would support students to experience virtual world that are impossible to obtain through conventional methods.

The use of VR technology in Thursina both develops an immersive learning experience and opens the door for students to explore abstract concepts visually and interactively. Through realistic simulations, students would understand difficult concepts in a more concrete and measurable way. "For example, in science lessons, they could learn complex biological or physics processes in an engaging way, as well as in history or fiqh lessons, students are able to visit buildings that cannot be reached closely, such as exploring the Grand Mosque, al- Aqsa, Ka'bah or simulating the Hajj and Umrah," he said, giving examples of lessons that can be adopted.

Meanwhile, the presence of AI-based robots in Thursina starts up new opportunities for interaction between students and technology. These robots not only assist teachers in delivering lesson, but also work as interactive learning partners. They respond to students' questions, provide additional explanations, spark a spirit of exploration, play 3D educational games, and even hold fun question and answer sessions. VR devices will be placed in the Library therefore they can be accessed by all students. Furthermore, AI Robots will support Robotic Enrichment learning and Technopreneur specialization classes.

One of the significant impacts supposed from the integration on advanced technology is strengthening the motivation and involvement in studying process. By presenting material in interesting and interactive form, Thursina organizes challenging, fun, and meaningful province of education. "There is a great hope to integrate student learning with technology to ease them exploring necessary knowledge," concluded Ustadz Rois. (lil)
