Inheritance Science Training, Tazkia IIBS's Efforts to Pass Knowledge to Students
To maintain the existence of inheritance science in society, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held inheritance science training for students of grade 11 (26/10). Online and offline trainings were attended by all students from five majors at Tazkia High School, inviting Ustadz Imam Awaludin, M.A., Ph.D as a speaker. Students will learn basic theories about the Science of Inheritance as well as the practice for calculating inheritance both manually and using application.
The chief of Religious major of senior high school of Tazkia IIBS, Ustadzah Nunun Zainun, Lc., M.Ag., Ph.D, explained that inheritance science is one of the high level science in Islam. According to hadith narrated by Abu Daud, inheritance science will be first dissapear from society because it is barely taught in assemblies thus many Muslims do not understand about this.
"The prophet has encouraged us to learn and pay more attention to inheritance science through the hadith mentioned. The training is a part of Tazkia IIBS attention to the science," she said.
Students should understand, through the training, that the topic of Inheritance Science is about the distribution of assets left by the deceased to their heirs based on Allah's guidance in the Al-Quran Surah An-Nisa verses 11-12. Including, whoever entitled and not receiving inheritance, the share of each heir, the calculation process, and certainly, the terms and conditions of inheritance.
Furthermore, Ustadzah Nunun told that students should comprehend the wisdom and philosophy of Inheritance Science as well as its benefit in daily life following the training. At least the students are familiar with its terms and conditions and practising by handling inheritance problems and calculating the distribution by manual method or by online application. "If fully understood, the law of inheritance distribution in Islam is entirely fair and does not wrong anyone who has the right to inheritance," she explained.
The participants show immense enthusiasm although the training was held online. Moreover, those, who attended the actual training, actively discussed and asked questions to the final of the session.
Lastly, Ustadzah Nunun supposed that students continually learn inheritance science by reading more books or attending the other training to have more understanding.
"I hope they know and comprehend that inheritance science is vital thus it should be learnt to prevent its loss from Muslims," she concluded.
