Hajj Rituals and Islamic Funeral Process: Trainings to Enrich Students' Islamic Skill
One of the regular student programs for year eleven is Hajj Ritual simulation and corpse handling training. Talbiah call was incessantly told by all participants of Hajj Ritual training of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) in the field of male and female campus. The objective is to provide them spiritual experience by learning Hajj Ritual.
Hajj ritual simulation and the training of corpse care are including in one of the religious curriculum for high school students of year XI, on Saturday (07 and 09/14). Ustadz Muhammad Buchori, Lc, M.E stated, hajj ritual training is the way of Tazkia IIBS to offer Hajj practice to all students.
Also, students are supposed to learn and comprehend the obligation and principle of pilgrimage and to promote spirit of Hajj in the young age. All students, previously, of year XI were taught about the material related to Hajj and Umrah.
"Adequate facilities for hajj ritual practice such as, ka'bah, hijr Ismail, and maqam Ibrahim miniature, mina channel symbol, jumroh aqobah and so on are offered to support this learning in order to be fully understood the detailed ritual," he added.
Hajj ritual undertaken is Hajj Tamattu', consecutive Umrah and Hajj at a time, common hajj of Indonesian pilgrims.
Practised full steps of Hajj, starting from wearing ihram cloth, doing miqat, praying behind Ibrahim tomb, drinking Zamzam water, sa'i and tahallul. The simulation of throwing jumroh ula, wustha, and aqabah also took in place.
Not only Hajj practise, but also training of corpse care was provided as a briefing for students. Buchori said, corpse care is required in the daily life especially when they get into society later.
"Corpse care training is aimed to provide students with deeper understanding besides its great virtue in Islam," he emphasized.
Another goal of the agenda, Buchori explained, is supposed to urge students on pilgrimage and community service.
