Exploring Creativity and Solidarity of Student, Tazkia IIBS Held Quran & Language Festival 2018
Creativity and talent of students should be stimulated. Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held annual event, Quran and Language Festival (QLF) for a week (18/12/12-16), managed by Tazkia Student Association (TSA).
Coordinator of language, Ustadzah Harismaning Aulia, M. Sc stated, this yearly event was awaited by students. All have to participate and show the best performance. Not only losing or winning, but also learning much by the means of this.
"They learn how to be emphaty and tolerant during exercise and how to keep togetherness for one another in their peers. The committee also learns how to raise a funding for the event. We suppose students could learn much from the process," says Ustadzah Risma.
Some competitions held were Arabic, English and Indonesian Speech and Poem, Hifdzil Quran (memorising Quran), Tartil Quran (reading Quran), arabic and english contest, calligraphy, drama, story telling, singing, vlog, adzan, syarhil Quran (explaining Quran verses), cheerleading, attribute creativity, 3D wall magazine, fashion show, and quiz.
Arabic singing competition won by year VIII B, while for female students by year X natural science 3 and year VIII E. Year X social science and VIII E achieved the best in singing contest. Story telling for junior high school won by Dzar Alghiffari, and Richy Zahidulaulia Q for senior. In female, Neziha Zerrin Yalpur (XI natural science 4) and Safa Nadhira Azzahra (VIII D). In arabic story telling, Alfiyah Syahdena Maulida (XI social science 4) and Nadia Aliya Nazira (VIII C) beat others.
Akhtar Izdihar Athallah was the first winner in arabic speech for junior school, and Ikrima Syauqi Haq for senior. Meanwhile, Alifah Hana (X social science 2) and Sayyida Nafisa Fityani were from girls. Calligraphy contest was triumphed by Muhammad Sabilal Farhan (junior) and Dzikra Bayu (senior), and arabic handwriting by Zia Athallah Az Zahra (VII F) and Dhivatanaya Najla Dharmmesta (VIII E).
Maulana Majid (junior) and Muhammad Irfan Muttaqin (senior) won English speech competition and Alfina Maghfirah (VIII D) and Farwah Shafira (XI IPA 3) were winners from female students. In reading Quran contest, Najla Syafa Kamila (XI social science 2) and Alya Nuraini Zahra ( junior student) became the best participant. For MSQ (explaining Quran verses), class of year X natural science 3 and VIII D were the stars.
The best readers for arabic poem were gained by Nursabrina Hasmar Ali and Afifani Rohmah Javid (VIII C). Quiz was competed for junior and senior high school; XI natural science 3 and VIII E were the best classes. Moreover, drama was won by year X IPA 3 and the best performance shown by XI natural science 3 and VIII C. 3D wall magazine of year X natural science 4 got the first winner.
Video vlogs of VII B (male students) and X social science 2 (female students) were attained the highest mark. While, in attribute creativity, XI social science 2 had the highest rank and cheerleading by XI natural science 4. The best shows of cheerleading were VIII D and XI natural science 3.
Both students and teachers participated in the program. The later wore traditional clothes and opened the event, managing by TSA. Ustadzah Risma said, it encourages organisation skill of students when they are trusted to manage an event.
"Also, it is a platform to flaunt student's interest and talent. Prizes are not a priority, the courage to show off in public is awesome" says Ustadzah Risma.
