Establishing Authenticity of Al-Qur'an Reading, Thursina IIBS Supports Students Retrieval of Al-Quran Sanad
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) persistently shows its commitment to establish the authenticity of Al-Qur'an readings through Sanad Qur'an Retrieval Program. Initiated a year ago, in 2023, it aims to ensure each student is not only able to memorize the Quran, but also reads and teaches it correctly based on the standards of scholars from the previous generations.
Ustadz Mustafid Ma'arif, LC., M.Pd., as Islamic Studies Teacher and Tahfizhul Qur'an Advisor of Thursina IIBS, stated the main objective of the program is ensuring that Al-Qur'an reading taught is authentic. "Besides the rules and recitation, reading the Qur'an requires direct correction and intensive training from the competent teachers," he said.
The Qur'an Sanad Retrieval Program in Thursina IIBS is a significant step to guarantee that the recommended students have remarkable skills to read the Qur'an correctly and qualify the standards of earlier Qur'an experts. Thursina has designed continous program excellenty to have Qur'an generation with understanding and ability to read the Holy Qur'an deeply and authentically.
The first launch of the program, last year, had a mere one female student taking part. She is Ananda Amalia Putri Zaman, who succeeded with sanad of the Qur'an after a series of rigorous tests and evaluations. Surprisingly, the enthusiasm has soared and led to positive change. Today, there are five female Students in the training. "All praise be to Allah, the students' interest has increased; it shows high enthusiasm of Thursina students to learn Qur'an intensely," said Ustadz Mustafid.
The students have to meet certain criteria to join the program, including memorisation strength, tenacity, and outstanding pronunciation. "Without these three elements, they will experience difficulties in mastering Qur'an reading, both in memorising and pronouncing the letters," explained Ustadz Mustafid.
Thursina IIBS provides complete facilities to support the success of the program, including Asatidz with sanad, special classes, Itqon program which can be followed by streaming, as well as sanad certification, granted in Khatmil Qur'an and graduation event. He also emphasized the great role of the teachers, "Studying Al-Qur'an is not only about the rules of letters and recitation, but also the guidance to correct and improve the quality of reading".
Sanad Qur'an Retrieval Program of Thursina IIBS, hopefully, would develop gradually and become effective means of passing on the authenticity of Al-Qur'an readings across generations. In the future, it would be expanded in male student campus. (rnw/lil)
