On July, 6, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) invited Owner of Indonesia LED Consultant, Dr. Hj. Umi Dayati following the first meeting, opening mindset of teachers regarding students. This seminar was aimed to provide teachers with knowledge about parenting and its application to be implemented to adolescents, students.

Held in Tazkia Islamic Conference Hall, Alexandria Building, floor 4, Parenting expert in ASEAN level trained all educators related practical counselling technique to brief them how to communicate effectively with students.

"When children facing problem or crying, do never ask 'why', it is meaningless because what they need is protection and calmness. Discuss with them slowly their problems when they have been calm and stable," Umi taught one of the tips to deal with students.

The doctor as well as lecturer in postgraduate of Malang Public University (UM) told, the main factor of education to succeed is parents, the first character and personality builder. While, teachers accept students in semi-built character and personality.

"Thus, it  can never be true if parents leave over their children to school or boarding school. It might need collaboration between the two parties", she said.

Furthermore, she told about how to know gestures. When communicating, a child, holding thing tightly, responding our questions, is hiding something.

To make them open, we can use typical technique, telling them similar experienced story related to their problem, called Communication Therapy.

"The main objective of teacher as a counsellor is not solving student problems, nevertheless, teachers or parents help them realize that they can encounter their own obstacles," Dr. Umi Dayati advised.
