Thursina IIBS Alumnus Admitted into South Korean Universities

Another piece of joyful news recently came from the third graduating class of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS). Two alumni of Thursina High School, Naura Paramitha Fairuzy and Rima Kavka Tri Iriani, have successfully brought pride to their former alma mater by being admitted to prestigious universities in South Korea.

Ustadz Mohammad Suhaili, S.Pd., manager of study abroad admission at Thursina IIBS, expressed his greatest appreciation for the brilliant achievement of the alumnus. He emphasized that this was a result of great work and determination in achieving their dream to pursue higher education in prestigious institutions abroad.

“They have previously studied in a university in Indonesia, however they were still determined to go to a university abroad,” he explained.

Naura, earned the golden opportunity to pursue her study at the Yonsei University, one of South Korea’s reputable universities. She was planning on studying Creative Technology Management. Meanwhile Rima, received the coveted Global Korea Scholarship at Pukyong National University to pursue a degree on business administration.

To prepare for studying abroad, Thursina IIBS supports its students through the Thursina International Office. The office offers a range of services available to both current students and alumni, including consultations based on individual interests, administrative support with documentation, and assistance with tests leading up to departure.

"Our commitment is not limited to active students, we also still help those who have graduated if they want to study abroad, especially for scholarship programs, as long as the students are actively committed," noted Ustadz Suhaili.

This achievement is a proud moment for the entire family and academic faculty of Thursina IIBS who have supported the students in their educational journey. Hopefully this can serve as an inspiration for other students to dare to dream and reach for the stars.  This opportunity is a chance for them to grow academically and fulfil their potentials, so they can bring positive change for their community and nation.

“Moving forward, we hope that more Thursina IIBS students will qualify for study abroad scholarships. This will help us create an output profile that aligns with our vision and mission of fostering an internationally minded generation through study abroad opportunities, particularly those funded by scholarships. We anticipate that Naura and Rima’s achievements will inspire other Thursina IIBS students to pursue their dreams in the future,” Ustadz Suhaili wrapped up.
