Drawing Environment Doodle, Student of Tazkia IIBS won in SIIF 2019

"Environment theme is very common, however it represents certain concerned condition. Air pollution and  global warming are the actual damaging effect," Nasywa Azizah explained her reason to doodle about environment.

The student of year XI in senior high school of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) revealed her idea vigorously after winning National Doodle Competition held by Public University of Semarang (UNNES), on Saturday (9/2).

Nasywa Azizah, placed at runner up III in Semarang International Illustration Festival (SIIF) 2019, said, clean and healthy environment affects mind and soul, therefore, human should preserve it.

Ustadzah Ghina Afifah, a companion in the competition, told, Nasywa work captured the comparison between clean and polluted environment in Indonesia. "It has a deep meaning. Often, artwork does bring powerful message for society," she added.

This contest was participated by other five students of Tazkia IIBS, year XI, Tsamara Mutia, Ahmad Alfatih Zahyawie Zubinof, Faris Abdullah Yusuf, and Hazrat Inayat Maulana Syah. While from the younger, year X, Romansa Akbar Mandala was the only one. They competed with 105 participants from all over Indonesia.

      


The best artwork by illustrators from various countries was exhibited in this biennial event. Previously, in 2017, the festival was held, and this year, it was held by  Fine Arts major of Public University Semarang.

Besides artwork exhibition, doodle competition held in the festival took a theme Earth and Environment, on September 2, 2019, opened for all students of senior high schools or equal in Indonesia.

"The idea of participating in the event was aimed to provide a chance for those who interest in design or drawing. Internal selection was run previously, thus the names mentioned were passed and went to Semarang to take a part in the festival," Ustadzah Gina explained in detail.
