Demonstrating Arabic Language Skills, Thursina IIBS Student Prevails the 1st Place in the National Arabic Language Olympiad

Abdul Majid, a junior high school student in Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), achieved the first place in AFKAR Arabic Language Olympiad 2024. The event was held online by Elkaffah Center on 28 of August 2024. By the theme "Excellent Youth, Manifestations of Language and the Qur'an". It was conducted in national level as well as prestigious event in the field of Arabic language.


Ustadz Najib Amrullah, Lc., who served as VP. of Arabic Development and a companion, said "We have prepared students with special training to compete for the champion. The topics include the science of nahwu and shorof using Arabic language as the language of instruction. Understanding and learning about the field require a lot of time and effort".


The middle school of Thursina IIBS sent two male students, namely Abdul Majid and Zahidan.  However, in the preliminary round, only Abdul Majid who passed to the following round with a score of 80. "We are grateful with his accomplishment in advancing to the final round," added Ustadz Najib.


The participation received full support from Middle school of Thursina IIBS, including funding for the Olympics and resources for joining online competition. "Thursina IIBS is committed to provide enormous contribution in supporting our students. It covers all aspects of financing as well as adequate digital equipment," said Ustadz Najib.


All praise be to Allah, hardwork and determination have yielded brilliant results.  Abdul Majid earned the 1st place in the champion. "We are genuinely grateful for the attainment and will accompany and seek information relentlessly about other Olympics to gain the finest opportunities for our students," added Ustadz Najib enthusiastically.


The success is a fullfilment for Junior School of Thursina IIBS and inspiration for other students to learn eagerly and excel in Arabic language and other disciplines. Hopefully, it will be the first step of many subsequent advances. (rnw/lil)
