Challenging! Maquette Project As a Seed of Students Future Creativity
Various ways can be utilised to support student's talent. Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) has been held regular program, Integrated Project Based Learning (IPBL), encouraging them to be creative.
IPBL is conducted during one semester. Ustadz Dwi Prasetyo Pribadi, S.Pd, as coordinator of IPBL stated, students are doing their projects for six months under the theme Tazkia Building Maquette.
"The projects contain many invaluable values and are integrated with some courses, including math, english language, teamwork, and environment. All the elements should be covered in the projects," he said.
Seminar and workshop are held before the project to brief them as well as in the midst of it, presented by the experts in the particular fields. He added, some aspects should be well noticed in maqutte project.
Including scale, building strength, aesthetics, accuracy, and orderliness of the maquette in finishing step.
"We have invited some experts in the field to succeed the project. They are, national champions, Ryan Andrian and Sendy Hanggarawan, students of civil engineering of University of Malang (UM), Noka Yudana (CEO of Kahn Ganesh Architect) and Fuad Anwar (CEO of Rancang Rencana). Those speakers are invited to brief students with sufficient knowledge, he added.
Additionally, study field is undertaken by visiting Architecture Engineering, Public Islamic University of Malang (UIN), to deepen understanding about scale, therefore they could make the mock-up of Tazkia IIBS as well as possible as their final projects.
Initially, students should prepare the concept, a sketch on A3 paper that will be implemented with cardboard.
Each group will present the work in front of all teachers in the last semester and write a report for their work.
Ustadz Dwi hopes the agenda could encourage creativity. "The stimulation of creativity is required to have excellent muslim and future leader," he closed the statement.
