Literacy has been one of the encouraged activities of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS). For this reason, repeatition and innovation take for granted to  promote alluring activities within literacy, named Movie Discussion (MoDis) by Tazkia Digital Library (TDL).

Rona Irlando Krisna, S.IP, the coordinator of TDL said, literacy is not limited to reading only. It includes reading, discussing, and writing, linking to each other aimed to promote literacy.

"MoDis is one of TDL programs to attract students. Unlike their predecessors, students today are appealing to more novel method when it comes to learning," she explained.

MoDis held by inviting students to watch movie in library and discussing it shortly from different views. "It does not require in-depth discussion. Only short discussion highlighted by opinion from students is enough," she added in detail.

Furthermore, MoDis persuades students to share about the movies watched, they have shown strong interest. Ustadzah Rona revealed, this activity is aimed to enrich understanding about an issue.

In addition, TDL has initiated Ngobrol Pinter (NgoPi) in Tazkia IIBS by discussing trending topics. One of the agenda was held by Sahabat Bumi, local community, to present about the importance of environment preservation that will affect human in later life.

"NgoPi has contributed in new touch of knowledge that might be unavailable in the formal classes," she told.

Ustadzah Rona supposes this typical learning could support students to learn vigorously and to see the world with broader view.
