Ensuring Commitment in Healthcare Excellence, Thursina IIBS Clinic Earned Full Accreditation Title

Located within Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) grounds, Thursina Clinic has recently been awarded a full accreditation title (akreditasi paripurna) after a rigorous three-month preparation process. This thorough effort was made by the clinic’s internal accreditation team, who worked diligently through multiple preparatory stages.

Ustadzah Titis Widayanti, the head of the Clinic, revealed that the preparation process started with the formation of the accreditation team, responsible for managing and overseeing the entire accreditation procedure. Members of the team then took part in specialized training to familiarize themselves with clinical accreditation standards and instruments applicable to the assessment.

“The accreditation was carried out in two stages. The first stage was conducted online on December 17, 2023. Followed by a follow-up and visitation stage on December 20, 2023,” she further explained.

In addition to preparing the staff, Thursina Clinic continued its effort to improve the facilities and infrastructure to meet the accreditation standards. This included putting together the necessary documentation and improving the internal system to be applied to the clinic’s daily operational procedure. “We went through all of these stages to make sure we were fully prepared for the visitation,” Ustadzah Titis marked.

The accreditation process itself included a series of evaluations, including a self-assement, a pre-accrediation survey, and an online assessment by the surveyor team. The process then concluded with an in-person accreditation survey.

The clinic's decision to pursue accreditation was driven by its commitment to uphold the high standards of care that the clinic has been providing and to further improve its operations.

“This process covers a complete assessment of our administration, management, and clinical practices. This accreditation also serves as a quality improvement and standardization effort of the clinic,” she continued.

After successfully navigating the preparation and visitation stages, Thursina Clinic was granted the akreditasi paripurna title, the highest level of accreditation which reflected its outstanding quality management and commitment to patients’ welfare at the first-level health facilty.

The surveyor team gave out a number of recommendations for further improvement, including improving administrative documentation, ensuring consistency in healthcare service, and developing the clinic according to community needs.

“After earning a full accreditation title, Thursina Clinic plans to maintain this impressive accomplishment. We hope that this can serve as an encouragement to continue to give the best possible care in-line with the Ministry of Health’s standards, both for the general public and Thursina IIBS faculty members,” Ustadzah Titis concluded optimistically.
