Tazkia IIBS Held Health Webinar with the Experts for Student's Briefing: to be Healthier and More Cautious
Tazkia Medical Center (TMC) collaborating with Physiology Department Medical Faculty of Brawijaya University held health webinar "Stay Healthy during Covid-19 Pandemic”, on Saturday, 1st of August 2020. The training gives comprehensive explanation about Covid-19, the origin of the virus and its spreading pattern, protection from the infection, and tips to be active during pandemic. In one of the sessions, the participants practise simple movement can be done while sitting.
Dr.Dewi Mustika, M.Biomed., one of the speakers told, basically, Covid-19 has the same symptom with common flu. In some cases, the symptom might be not appear, therefore one can be infected and potential to transmit it to others even he looks healthy. For this reason, preventive measures are crucial to be undertaken.
"Everyone is obliged to be discipline in prevention to avoid higher transmission of the virus," she said.
Furthermore, dr. Dewi described some prevention steps including, minimising the mobility, avoiding physical contact, physical distancing, using mask to cover nose and mouth and washing hand with soap frequently.
Although it is trivial, the way of using mask and handwashing should be done properly to be effective. Get use to do six steps of handwashing for about a minute to cover all areas of hands with soap.
"Maintaining body immune by consuming vitamin and doing daily exercise should be done regularly," she told.
dr.Yhusi Karina R., M.Sc., in line with this, revealed that all physical activities might help maintain metabolism. Those can be exercise, doing chores, and even playing video game which requires physical movement. At least, one has to do physical activity for 60 minutes a day.
"Little physical activity can cause various diseases. Therefore, it is substantial to move frequently, and stay active," she says.
Our body has one principle, "Move it! Or Lose it!". The less we move the body, the less the body will function. For this, increasing daily physical activity gradually might be a solution.
She, moreover, suggested to do exercise at home. It can be practising around homeyard or taking online exercise class. If it should be done in public area, make sure to do physical distancing.
The manager of TMC, Ustadzah Titis Widayanti, S.Pd., told in her speech that the training provides knowledge to all students as preparation to back to the boarding school. Also, reminding them to get ready of what might be possible to happen later.
"Today's online training is supposed to prepare students to survive in the boarding house during the pandemic," she conveyed the goal.
