Achieved The 1st Place of PGRI Madiun Math Olympic, Tamam Fajar Continued Improve his Math Skills

Student, Tamam Fajar Briliansyah, of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) successfully won on 82 participants in the competition of mathematics  for High School students in provincial level, East Java, on Sunday (2/2).

The contest was held in PGRI University Madiun. He stated, there was no special preparation. The exercise was done along with his study in Tazkia and intensive mathematics training.

The participants came from various regions, including Batu, Kediri, Singosari, Pasuruan, Jombang, Probolinggo, Lumajang, Jember, Banyuwangi, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Gresik, Trenggalek, Tulungagung, Bangkalan, Pamekasan, Sampang, Sumenep, Rembang, Pati, and Bali.

"There were preliminaries to select the top ten. Praise be to Allah, I was selected to be one of them, competing in the final round and won the first place," the student of year 8 explained.

The questions were formed in selected multiple choices and essays. "Some need deep thinking and some are not," he told again.

Participating in this typical competition could stimulate the mindset of teens and students that mathematics is easy and fun. He also follows other mathematics contest. "It will be blunt if we do not sharpen it. Therefore, when possible, I will follow such competition," he said.

Joining this typical event is one of the manifestations of Tazkia IIBS mission in fostering education quality in mathematics therefore students cam have logical, critical, systematical, and consistent thinking.

The participants were required to answer the questions in specific time. "Praise be to Allah, after intensive selection, he gained appreciation on his effort. I wish it can be exemplified by other students," Ustadz Salman hopes.
