Caring for Palestine, Thursina IIBS Distributes More than 300 Million Through Sahabat Al Aqsha
A believer and other believers are like a building, one part of which strengthens the other. That is a quote from a hadith narrated by Bukhari. With one of these hadiths, Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) committed itself to continue helping Muslim brothers in Palestine. This time, Thursina IIBS held Thursina Charity: Humanitarian Aid for Palestine, (25/11).
The coordinator, Ustadz Arief Fathurrahman, S. Pd.I as a Manager of Thursina Dakwah Center (TDC) said that aid for Palestine is not only intensified once or twice because it is humanitarian assistance. “The problem of our brothers in Palestine is not just Islamic religious problem, it's humanitarian problem," explained Ustadz Arief.
Entitled "We Pray, We Care for Palestine", Thursina IIBS through parents, students, teachers and stakeholders collected donations of Rp. 323,000,000,000. The funds are donated to Palestine through Sahabat Al Aqsha.
Ustadz Arief concluded the brotherhood of fellow Muslims is not limited by country and place. Even in all corners of the world as long as people give their shahada to Allah SWT, then they are our brother. What we did, he continued, is caring by inviting all students and Thursina IIBS academics to raise funds for humanitarian care for Palestine.
Presented at Thursina IIBS, a volunteer from Sahabat Al-Aqsha, Mr. Ipung Purwono reported that currently 14,350 victims, including 6,000 dead children. It is estimated as the total of almost 3 villages in Indonesia alike. He also fully appreciated the support of Thursina IIBS.
Also, the performance of poetry declamations from student as a support for Palestine has enlivened the event, oration to avoid activities and support products supporting Israel as the fatwa of Indonesian Ulema Council.
"The assistance for Palestine will not stop here, we also urge all students, teachers, parents, stakeholders and business units running in Thursina to leave products that support Israel," he stressed. (lil)
