For nearly two weeks the students, at Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS), have been busy taking their midterm exams, which are normally held every three months. Something which is different compared to other schools. Furthermore, Tazkia IIBS holiday program is held four times every year. Not forgetting Tazkia IIBS provide students a time to refresh and recharge after exam periods.

On Wednesday and Thursday (26-27 / 9), before the students returned from their vacation, Tazkia IIBS organized outing to destinations and programs within their respective classes. An educational trip to Bakpao Telo was organised for students from seventh grade. There, the students saw the process of making snacks and buns which are made from Telo / potato.

Our sons from year VIII stayed at Andandani Sinau Economic Cooperation (SAE), Pujon. Students were fortunate to have first-hand experience of the sterilisation process as well as the manufacturing of dairy products including yogurt. Whereas our daughters from year VIII visited the Knitting Kaboki, in this case the students not only travelled, but also learnt about the process of manufacturing of bags in various models. Students were also able to purchase the products.

The Education refreshment program was also provided to high school students. In contrast to the junior high school students, the high school students visited the University of Brawijaya (UB) where students visited the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Social) and the Faculty of Engineering.

Not only that, students at the high school level also received information about UB in general. Students from Tazkia IIBS also learnt and interacted with students from UB. We also discussed different ways of joining the university which included through SBMPTN, Independent, Scholarship Hafiz and others.

This outing program is a routine program presented by Tazkia IIBS. In addition to travel and learning, students also experienced locally sourced products which they were able to purchase. It is expected that by the end of this refreshment activity, the students are able to travel and able to learn about the potential of Indonesian products. Not only that, the program aims to motivate students and provide further insight to help them prepare to achieve goals in the future. (arf)empelajari potensi produk indonesia.
