Road to Study Abroad: Tazkia IIBS visits UBD and UNISSA to Guarantee Advanced Education after Senior High School
The establishment related international higher education collaboration will become the focus area of Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS). Under supervision of Tazkia International Partnership (TIP), Tazkia IIBS will explore possible collaboration for graduate schools.
Lately, Tazkia IIBS visited University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Brunei Darussalam, on Tuesday (8/13). Asia Deputy of TIP, Ustadz Ahmad Fanani, MA stated, UBD is ranked as the 294 based on QS World University Ranking.
"Moreover, UBD takes place as top twenty in Southeast Asia, as well as the best 100 university in Asia according to QS World University Ranking," he explained.
Besides collaborating with Islamic Education Institutes, the goal of visitation is to facilitate the alumni of Tazkia to study in overseas university. With the college excellence, Ustadz Fanani continued, students can have more references to choose their campuses in the future.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Tazkia IIBS, Ahmad Fanani, MA, Husnul Ifadah, MA, Gita Afriani Putri, BA., and Sugianto, BA. UBD was represented by Sabrina Daud as The Director of Global Relations Office of Assistant Vice-Chancellor. While, Hj. Sammali bin Hj Adam as The Director of Centre for Public and International Relations and Fazira binti Hj Kamis as Assistant Registar were delegated by UNISSA Brunei.
The three colleges, UBD, UNISSA, and Tazkia, will work jointly on student enrolment for alumni of Tazkia IIBS as well as teacher and student exchange.
"Student and teacher exchange is supposed to provide better global experience and knowledge," he said.
UNISSA Brunei Darussalam, furthermore, is interested in International Islamic Education model of Tazkia IIBS, therefore the following meeting will be held with Education or Religious Ministry of Brunei Darussalam by the medium of UNNISA. According to Ustadz Fanani, this is a good step to synergy.
Also, UBD will train staffs of Tazkia IIBS in Islamic Education field. "This is a valuable chance to learn from other organisations. I hope the synergy will be followed up. The three institutes can synergize with other Islamic colleges as well," Ustadz Fanani hopes.
