Radenroro Aquene Kosalya Wijaya: Proving to Compete in the International Arena, Thursina IIBS Student Accepted in ZUST
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) has once again made a brilliant achievement! One of its students, Radenroro Aquene Kosalya Wijaya, has successfully secured a seat in Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST), China, with full scholarship majoring in Digital Media and Technology. She will take English-language teaching program in one of the prestigious campuses in the Kingdom of Bamboo.
The success was not just luck, but the result of big dreams, hard work, and strong determination. The inspiration to study abroad had appreared when she attended the Higher Education Networking (HAN) in Thursina IIBS, presenting representatives from various international universities, including from the Netherlands. The moment was a turning point, intensifying her drive to seek educational opportunities abroad. "China has developed rapidly compared to other countries. There are new innovations everyday. I am sure by studying there, I would gain global insight, valuable experience, and skills I would benefit in the future," said Aquene confidently.
Her journey to achieve the dream was certainly uneasy. To build a convincing academic record, she was actively involved in some organizations in Thursina IIBS. She was once a member of the TSA Language staffs, then she became Public Relations Coordinator, and served as the Vice President of Arabic Language Club.
Furthermore, she gained professional experience by becoming intern in Super 8mm Studio, mastering post-production skills. These valuable experiences had contributed significantly in writing motivation letter, as one of the biggest challenges in the scholarship process.
"Writing a motivation letter is the most crucial part. I gathered all the experiences I had, revised many, and asked for suggestion from encouraging parties to have the perfect result," she said.
The accomplishment is certainly inseparable from the total support of Thursina IIBS. The guidance from Thursina International Office has directed her to scholarship opportunities and academic preparation. Excellent facilities such as internet access, academic documents, and intensive mentoring helped smooth the selection process until she was finally accepted. Now, Aquene is ready to face new challenges in ZUST. She hopes the study in graphic design, photography, videography, and 2D and 3D animation would result great benefits in the ever-growing digital era
"I want the knowledge have broad impact, both for myself and the people around me," she concluded enthusiastically. This journey is a proof that with a great vision, hard work, and prayer, Thursina student is able to compete and excel on the international stage. Congratulations to Aquene! Hopefully, it will inspire the next generation to dare to dream and make it happen. (sls/lil)
