Overseas Trip to Europe : Experience and Culture Sharing on Blue Continent

After trip to China and Turkey, students of Tazkia IIBS went to Europe, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Swiss. As many as 15 students and a supervisor went abroad on February 27 - March 7 2019. The group would visit iconic monuments and educational institutions in each country.

The first campus visited was Jacob University in Germany. They were warmly welcomed by the university, invited to tour the campus, accompanied by Prof Dr Ing Hendro Wicaksono, who had visited Tazkia. He is a Professor in Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management.

Afterward, the team headed to University of Amsterdam and had exciting sharing session with Indonesian Student Association (PPI) of Amsterdam. They talked much about persistence, culture and social life there.

Zaanse Schans, a region in the north of Zaandam city, became the next destination where Netherland traditional houses, antique shops, museums, and six old windmills in the bank of Zaan river located. They also could observe and practice how to make cheese and wooden shoes.

The group also stopped by several tourism spots such as Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and Arc de Triomphe.

Hopefully, the series of overseas journey in Europe would inspire students to keep establishing themselves through university visits, sharing sessions, or vacations. Furthermore, they are supposed to practice discipline culture learned during the tour to develop a better community.
