LASALLE College of Art, Singapore, Visited Tazkia IIBS to Collaborate
Tazkia as boarding school based on international curriculum has collaborated with several overseas universities and promoted its students to visit them. Nonetheless, Tazkia has been a destination for some universities abroad to share information about their campuses. One of them is LASALLE College of Art, Singapore, on September, 18 2019.
The team was welcomed by the Headmaster of Tazkia, Ustadz Rois Haqiqi, M.Pd., the deputy of Cambridge Curriculum, Muharomatut Thoyyibah, M.Sc., and the supervisor of overseas programme, Muhammad Nadif, M.Pd.
LASALLE College of Art focuses on education and art. Ms. Chan, a representative of LASALLE stated that there are at least 30 programs provided, divided into three levels of degree, Diploma, BA (Hons), and Post Graduate. Furthermore, the students are allowed to take short courses, training or customised program.
Founded in 1984, the university has some annual events for student showcases. One of them is LASALLE SHOW as exhibition event to showcase the graduate artwork of contemporary art major. Academic events such as conference and symposium have been a chance for the students to show their talents as well.
In the next session, Ms. Chan told about campus facilities for students, career service, several shcholar, and certificate. LASALLE has some campuses based on the recent majors. The main campus, known as McNally Campus, accomodates 56 studios for majors that require large spaces and galleries.
Recently, LASALLE College of Art has graduated many artists in Singapore. Awarded with Green Mark Gold, the college opens regular registration and scholarship, both fully or partially funded.
Ustadz Rois said, the visit would allow Tazkia to expand to other educational institutions to offer various universities as options for its graduates.
