In the beginning of school year, Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) run annual firefighter training both in male and female campus. It is supposed, when happened, students, especially new students, can rescue themselves and know what to do. An iron barrel, sacks, and  firefighter tube were prepared in the field of Tazkia IIBS (18/08).

The training is aimed to tighten security in school. Working with Firefighters of Malang Region, they trained students and teachers in how to fight the fire in Tazkia IIBS.

The chief of this event, Ustadz Ahmad Fauzi, S.T stated, this training is a preventive step when experiencing undesirable incident. "Basically, we are not expect to experience such unpleasant occurance, however, all students, teachers, and staffs of Tazkia IIBS need to know how to handle this," he explained.

Firstly, Ustadz Fauzi continued, all participants were told about the steps to do when the fire occurs. For example, leaving the building heading to assembly point, far from the location when disaster happened. To avoid fire from spreading, light fire extinguisher (Alat Pemadam Api Ringan /APAR) is provided in each floor and building," Ustadz Fauzi said.

By involving all students and teachers, Ustadz Fauzi hopes everyone is able to deal with unexpected incident. He supposes they can understand and practice what has been simulated.

Besides training, the firefighter team of Malang suggested about amenities in Tazkia IIBS Malang to handle the occurance. Security building related additional facilities need to be prepared to prevent irreparable damage.

"Tazkia IIBS Malang will accommodate APAR, hydrant or water supply provider, alarm and emergency light, and evacuation routes and floor plans instalment. We will set  the equipment in the near future," he added.
