Thursina International Outreach of South Korea : Thursina IIBS Students Explore Higher Education in South Korea

Visiting a renowned international university is the most awaited agenda for students of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS). To broaden their horizons and experiences, they visited and explored the Land of Ginseng, South Korea, for a week long. It is part of the overseas programs to inspire students in reaching their dreams.

 


 

 

Khusnul Ifada, MA., a Manager of International Students and Teachers of Thursina IIBS, told, while in Korea, they explored the beauty of Nami Island, the arts, literature as well as digital creativity. On the same day, they also stopped at the Soerak area. In the following day, they saw Mount Seorak, Gwongeumseong Fortress, Sinheungsa Temple, and Ski Gyeonggi. On certain days, the group went around the ginseng center and cosmetic shops, Gyeongbokgung Palace, The Blue House, and Dongdaemun Market.


 


 

 

Interestingly, Thursina IIBS students toured four reputable universities in Korea including, Korea University, Kyung Hee University, Ewha Woman University, and Yonsei University. The exploration has encouraged their enthusiasm to pursue dreams of studying abroad. They could observe academic environment, facilities, and learning culture on the spot. Students are expected to gain new insights regarding global education standards. "It is more than just educational journey, the experience in Korea has uplifted them to excel and build a broader vision of  worldwide education," said Ustadzah Ifada.


 



Studying abroad, indeed, has been the inspiration of students all this time. Thursina IIBS actively promotes its students to find their dream university. They explore study program opportunities, learning systems, future prospects, and witness academic excellence firsthand. It is no wonder that students are more determined and prepare themselves rigorously. "Visiting universities in South Korea has opened the way that the excellent education has to be pursued eagerly with thorough preparation. Our arrival is the first step, many top campuses are await their arrival. Hopefully, it would be memorable for them," she hopes.


The trip closed with Lotte World, one of the largest and most popular amusement parks in South Korea, in the capital city of Seoul. It is fascinating tourist destination, since it presents entertainment of culture, suitable for all ages. In addition, Thursina students left their marks at the Red Pine Center in Yeongdeungpo District, Hongdae Avenue around Hongik University, and Inspire Media Art Resort Mall located near Incheon International Airport.
