Taking Care of the Community, Thursina IIBS Hosts Social Aid Event in Celebration of Anniversary
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held another social aid event (baksos) on Monday, December 18. The event, organized through the Thursina Dakwah Center (TDC), is part of Thursina IIBS's dedication to positively contribute to its surrounding community.
The event included a variety of programs, such as the distribution of food ingredients to families in need, free medical treatment, a blood drive, free mass circumcision, and mobile BPJS health services.
Ustadz Arief Fathurrahman, S.Pd.I., manager of TDC, noted that the social aid event reflects Thursina IIBS’s concern for the welfare of the community. Through this event, Thursina IIBS hopes to increase its involvement in caring for the community’s health and well-being.
One of the highlights of the event was the free mass circumcision program, intended for young boys in need. According to Ustadz Arief, the program is not merely meant to provide free circumcision services but also to help alleviate the burden on families who may have difficulty providing this for their children.
All facilities provided at this event were entirely free of charge, from medical check-ups to prescribed medications. This is part of TDC and Thursina IIBS’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community, particularly for those less fortunate.
“The social event is expected to offer real benefits and strengthen our goodwill with the community,” concluded Ustadz Arief.
