Fostering Camaraderie: Thursina IIBS Hosts Family Gathering at Utama Raya Resort Situbondo
In an effort to foster camaraderie and provide a refreshing break for its faculty members, Thursina IIBS hosted another family gathering program. The event took place on Utama Raya Resort, Situbondo from January 3 to 4.
Highlighting the theme of Strengtherning Commitment, Sinergy, and Dignity, this program is a part of Thursina IIBS management’s Employee Wellbeing commitment to increase employee’s welfare. The institution is committed to take care of the wellbeing of its community in terms of physical, cognitive, mental, and spiritual to create a positive work environment.
"This program is specifically designed to provide an opportunity for staff members to develop personal potential, manage stress, and stengthen relationships within the team. Moving forward after this agenda, we hope to improve productivity and creativity among faculty members,” revealed the Chief of Human Resources Management and Quality assurance, Ustadzah Hilmia Wardani, M.Pd.
Held at the end of the odd-semester break, this agenda brought together all levels of management, teachers, murabbi/murabbiyah, educational, even household staffs. The first day festivities included activities such as quizzes, team-building games, and creative performance from staff members.
In his speech, Ustadz Nur Abidin, M.Ed., Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thrusina IIBS, stressed three key qualities that every members of faculty must possess after taking part in the program. The first was a commitment to the duty and responsibility of each work units. The second was synergy, since achieving ambitious goals of Thursina Foundation, particularly in education, requires strong cooperation and collaboration between employees and departments to ensure optimal results. Last but least, was dignity, to uphold the value of every employee so that they can contribute and grow to their full potential.
“We really hope that you will feel a great sense of pride for Thursina in your heart, so that it could inspire sincerity in your work, and ultimately, all your efforts will be seen as an act of worship in the eye of Allah SWT,” Ustadz Abidin continued.
Meanwhile, the second day of the gathering began with tahajjud prayer, followed a brief sermon (kultum), and subuh prayer on the beach. This series of activities is designed to strengthen the islamic values among members of faculty, alligned with the religious principles upheld by Thursina. The agenda then continued with fun agility games between units. The day ended with exciting water sports activities such as canoeing and banana boating.
Aside from providing an opportunity to relax, recharge, and strengthen bonds, this annual event was also a part of the series of festivities celebrating Thursina’s 9th anniversary. The celebration included a variety of events such as free circumcision program, blood drive, social service activities, and muhasabah. In the end, the festivities wrapped up with the family gathering program.
