Enhancing Human Resources, Thursina IIBS Conducted Institutional Orientation and Skills Training Program
In anticipation of the return of students following the mid odd-semester break of the 2023/2024 academic year, Thursina IIBS organized another Human Resources Development Program. The event brought together all academic teachers, murobbi/murobbiyah, educational staff, and household staff. It included a variety of key activities, such as institutional orientation and skills training, before wrapping up with the exciting Thursina Fun Games on October 13.
Thursina IIBS’ Chief of Human Resources Management & Quality Assurance, Ustadzah Hilmia Wardani, M.Pd, noted that the program is part of a routine agenda designed to enhance the competencies of Thursina IIBS' human resources, particularly their understanding of the institute's core values. To achieve this objective, the program provided training opportunities tailored to the specific roles of each unit ,delivered by professional trainers in their respective fields. After completing the series of coaching sessions, the faculty of Thursina IIBS unwind by participating in the Thursina Fun Games to refresh their minds.
“We make sure to analyze every working unit. Alhamdulillah, based on the assessment, we can host this training session that Insyaallah will be useful for our faculties in each of their positions,” explained Ustadzah Hilmia.
The program opened with institutional orientation on the first day, attended by Chairman Thursina Islamic Foundation Ustaz M. Ali Wahyudi, M.Pd, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ustaz Nur Abidin, M.Ed, senior advisor Ustaz Ir. Sentot E. Parijatno and Ustadzah Sumi Rahayu, MM, as well as the board of directors.This session emphasized the strengthening of Thurina IIBS' role in the dynamics of Islamic civilization. The faculty members present in the TICH hall were particularly inspired by aspects of worship, social orientation, and the study of the rise and fall of Muslim civilization.
“The hope is that our entire human resources team will work sincerely, intending all of their endeavors as an act of worship for Allah. This way, their time at Thursina will not be wasted and be considered as a good deed,” added Ustdzah Hilmia.
The following day, faculty members participated in professional development training tailored to their specific fields. Teachers attended a workshop focused on utilizing AI for teaching and learning. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities AI presents in education, as well as to guide participants in incorporating AI into lesson planning. Meanwhile, murabbi/murabbiyyah, tahfidz teachers, SSC staff, and the Student Affairs Team took part in a training session on preventing and addressing bullying and violence. This session included extensive discussions on current issues and provided practical tips for managing bullying and violence.
Meanwhile, the educational staff which are made up of the Relations and Enrollment Office (REO), Thursina Medical Clinic (TMC), library staff, and academic administration personnel, attended a professional communication class led by native English speaker Mr. Robert Moesa. The class focused on professional greetings and essential English expressions necessary for providing excellent service in their respective roles.
“This HR orientation and training program aims to enhance HR competencies. It ensures that each faculty member can deeply understand and apply our core values in their work while simultaneously improving their skills according to their respective roles. This approach is essential for ensuring that the educational services at Thursina IIBS operate optimally and can effectively respond to the dynamics of ongoing developments,” explained Ustadzah Hilmia.
The training sessions concluded with the Thursina Fun Games on the final day, where staff members had the opportunity to compete in various activities, including horse riding, wall climbing, archery, and a masterchef cooking contest.
“Hopefully all the training that has been given will strengthen the skills of our human resources, nourish their sincerity, and foster their camaraderie in working in each of their roles,” concluded Ustadzah Hilmia.
