Tampil Memukau, Thursina Voice Berhasil Raih Medali Silver di SICF 2023
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS)’s choir team, Thursina Voice, returned with a brilliant accomplishment on the international stage. This time, the all-female group won the silver medal at the 2023 Singapore International Choral Festival (ICSF).
In this international event, Thursina Voice competed in the Virtual Category A2 - Equal voices, 17 years and below.
Ustadzah Arisqie Dinda, the enrichment coordinator at Thursina, noted that to be a winner, these students have gone through a long and at-times difficult training process. Though, ultimately, all their endeavors had paid off with an impressive victory. The competition was held online and competitors sent an uncut and unedited video of their performances.
“Thursina Voice had to compete against dozens of other teams from all over the world,” explained Ustadzah Dinda. “This deserves to be appreciated, their readiness to compete against other choir teams.”
According to Ustadzah Dinda, the 36 members of Thursina Voice had trained for approximately 14 days to put together their best performance on tape. “In a day, all members of the students trained in three different sessions. The first session was meant for the sopranos, then followed by the altos, and by the third session they all trained together,” revealed Ustadzah Dinda.
For their submission, Thursina Voice sung three songs which were Ikusten Duzu, Benggog dan Don't Rain on My Parade. With those songs the team managed to save the silver medal at the Virtual Category A2 - Equal voices, 17 years and below.
“In this competition, there was a series of essential assessments on their intonation, pitch accuracy, as well as the facial expression of each singer,” said Ustadzah Dinda.
This incredible feat wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance of the Thursina Voice vocal coach, Mr. Lucky Agus Saputra. The 36 members of Thursina Voice includes: A Zahirah Aliyah, Aisira Mumtaza, Aisyah Aqilah Nurrahman, Alya Nadia Firdiansyah, Almaira Zivana Putri, Andi Zaskia Haswan, Puanapta Naomi Latif, Nayla Rizqi Goeritno, Khayla Faeyza Nurina Salim, Naila Zahra Aqila Wiyono, Naura Kamila Rahma, Amirah Arnis, Almira Fakhirana, Annida Almira, Fathina Syifa, Kimora Ascotia, Fathya Salma, Vicky Amelia, Azzahra Husnu, Anindya Nur Syafisa, Marsya Aurelya, Annisa Esparyani Gurva, Athira Safir Gadiza, Sabrina Alystia, Anjeli Adny, Keumala Aisha Farzana, Ashe Azmeyna, Amelia Putri Zaman, Amelia Cahya, Divia Putri, Fadail Adabina, Fidela Rahma, Saharani Farhanjani, Salwa Aulia Mahfudz, Khansa Aqila Idris, Siti Fateema.
