Thursina Library Join Hands with UM Vocational School in an Effort to Provide Literacy Resources

The House of Wisdom, the library of Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) , visited the Vocational School of State University of Malang (UM) on September 9. The visit aimed at strengthening Thursina IIBS partnerships and preaching endeavors as well as to enhance the literacy resources available to IIBS students.

During their visit, the Thursina IIBS library team formalized their partnership with the Vocational School of UM by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). Ustadzah Rona Irlando, head of the Thursina IIBS library, emphasized that this partnership will focus on collaborative efforts to develop human resources for both parties through digital library programs, including research, education, and community service.

According to Ustadzah Rona, this partnership also covers student admissions to the Digital Library D4 program at the Vocational School of UM. Additionally, it allows the Thursina IIBS library to utilize resources developed by the human resources of UM’s Vocational School’s Digital Library D4 program.

“This is all part of our dedication to provide literacy resources for students at Thursina,” she noted.

The signing of the MoA was also attended by the dean of the Vocational School as well as the head and lecturers of the Digital Library D4 program. Mr. Muladi, the dean of the Vocational School, expressed his joy over the Thursina IIBS library team’s visit.

“Thursina is an innovative educational institution, able to harmonize religious and modern values within a boarding school framework. We take pride in our collaborations in the library sector as well,” he said.

Mrs. Inawati, head of the Digital Library D4 program, noted that through this partnership, they, along with the Thursina IIBS library, must be able to help contribute to one another’s development. “We are happy to join hands in this partnership as it allows both parties to collaborate, contribute, and complement one another,” she emphasized.
