Expanding Collaboration, Thursina IIBS Signs MoU with FK ITS

Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) officially collaborates with the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FK) Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) through the signing of Cooperation Agreement (PKS), took place at ITS Campus, Surabaya.

Ustadz A. Ali Syihabuddin, M.Pd., the Principal of Thursina IIBS, stated the partnership was signed in November 2024. It aims to improve the quality of education in the fields of technology and health. "We hope the cooperation will be a strategic step to prepare students in understanding medical technology and opening up career opportunities in health sector," he said.

The agreement includes basic health science training for students, introduction to medical technology, and provision of teaching methods for educators and staffs. Students will take part in medical simulations guided by the experts from FK ITS, while educators and staffs will be trained to use the latest technology to support learning.

Ustadz Syihab added, "Through the collaboration, we want to upgrade the skills of students, educators and education staffs, also foster relations between secondary education institution and university. We are committed to provide full assistance to all participants to ensure the success of this program." The scope of cooperation includes workshops, seminars and development of training modules. The program will be implemented at least once per semester, either in ITS or Thursina IIBS.

Ustadz Ali hopes the training would enrich knowledge and equip Thursina IIBS students with practical skills applied in work or further education. By the scheme, the two parties aspire to build young generations who are well prepared in dealing with challenges in health and technology discipline.

Furthermore, this collaboration will enable the exchange of knowledge, so that teachers, educators and education staffs gain new insights to enrich the quality of learning in Thursina IIBS. Hopefully, the plan will become a model for other schools to develop skills in both fields.

The partnership is intended to create innovative educational platform, improve practical skills, and has a long-term positive impact on students, teachers and wider community.  Thursina IIBS and FK ITS plan to create proficient youth in the fields of health and technology, and encourage sustainable education innovation.
