Spreading Inspiration, Thursina IIBS Holds an International Short Course with Students from Malaysia
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) had completed the program " Malaysian Short Course : Unlocking Horizons - Embracing Languages and The Qur'an," on 7 of August to 16 of September, 2024. It involved students of grades 9 and 10 from Ma' had Ihya Al Ahmady, Selangor, Malaysia, focusing on developing Arabic, English and Tahfidz Al-Qur'an skills.
Ustadzah Khusnul Ifada, M.A., as a manager of International Student Division and teacher in Thursina IIBS, stated the program is designed to provide a broader learning experience for all participants.
"Our goal is to help students from Ma'had Ihya Al Ahmady enrich language skills and deepen their memorisation of Qur'an. "We hope it would be a bridge for closer cooperation between international schools," she said.
During the program, students are involved in a series of teaching and learning activities to improve their language skills, both in Arabic and English. The interactive teaching methods applied make the learning process more interesting and effective. Furthermore, Tahfidz sessions are an essential part of the program, where students strengthen their memorization of the Qur'an with the guidance of experienced teachers.
“We are delighted to see enthusiasm of students in each session. "They showed significant progress, in language skills and memorising the Quran," said Ustadzah Khusnul.
Besides formal learning activities, the short course accomodates recreational activities, such as sports, arts and refreshment sessions to balance between learning and entertainment. They have great advantage to maintain the eager and physical health along the program.
Sport and Art activities are a moment to relax as well as opportunity to strengthen relationships among students. "We want these students both study in class, and experience joy with excellent facilities in Thursina IIBS. "This bounding is great to build a sense of togetherness," added Ustadzah Khusnul.
Thursina IIBS hopes the program would be the first step to strengthen cooperation with other global educational institutions. Ustadzah Khusnul added, with collaboration alike, schools as the center of learning could learn from each other and share experiences to build generation, excelling in both academic and spiritual fields.
“We are hopeful it will continue in the future, not only with Ma'had Ihya Al Ahmady, but also with other schools throughout the world. "By sharing knowledge and experience, we could create more inclusive and inspiring educational environment," she concluded.
The Malaysian Short Course Program in Thursina IIBS has succeeded in creating unforgettable learning experience for students, strengthening relations between countries, and opening up opportunities for future collaboration. (rnw/lil)
