Again, Thursina IIBS Departs its Alumni to Al Azhar, Egypt
Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) has made another proud achievement by sending two alumni, Hanif Dwi Karunia Iswanto and Ziyadah Ulya, to study in Egypt. They were accepted in one of the prestigious Islamic universities in the world, majoring in Religion.
Ustadz Mohamat Taufik, the Deputy of Study Abroad for Middle East and Turkiye, explained the success closely related with collaboration between Thursina IIBS and Al-Azhar University. "We have been using Al-Azhar curriculum in Thursina for a long time. By completing the curriculum and passing the exam in Thursina, our students are immediately accepted at Al-Azhar Asyarif without exam or muqobalah," he explained.
Egypt, with its moderate Islamic tradition, is a strategic goal for Thursina dedicating its graduates to be people with moderate thinking and to answer the needs of the Islamic world later. "We would like to lead the alumni to become scholars with moderate Islamic thought. It is certainly needed in the Islamic world today," added Ustadz Taufik.
To support studying abroad, Thursina IIBS has International Office, providing educational pathways and options for its graduates. "We have deputies for every continent, including the Middle East, thus it is not limited to studying in one country. We would like to send our students to several parts of the world," said Ustadz Taufik.
The couple students, Hanif and Ziyadah are the implementation of this great vision. With Al-Azhar curriculum-based education taken in Thursina, both have a strong scientific foundation to continue their studies in Al-Azhar. "We are glad about their achievement and be part of this great journey. We ensure they will represent Thursina students contributing to the Islamic world," concluded Ustadz Taufik.
Not only scientific provisions, Thursina also offers intensive guidance to those who are interested in studying in the Middle East. Some programs, such as intensifying Arabic language skills and understanding Islam, are carefully designed thus they are able to compete academically and adapt to the new environment as well. This is the key to their accomplishment, to step onto the global stage by securing the good name of Thursina IIBS.
Furthermore, the success of alumni, accepted in Egyptian institutions, inspires other students. With an integrated education program, students are expected to take advantage of similar opportunities to develop themselves in various international well-known campuses. "We hope this success story moves other students to learn more and prepare themselves to solve global challenges," concluded Ustadz Taufik.
Eventually, Thursina IIBS is committed to expand its international cooperation network to promote the grand vision of building broad-minded muslim generation. Thursina hopes, with its alumni spreaded across the countries, to contribute more in future generation with moderate, competent character and able to deal with the dynamics of the times. (rnw/lil)
