The danger of narcotics, psychoactive drug, and addictive substance is frequently been socialised to teenagers. On Tuesday (02/05),  Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) held a seminar about the danger of typical drugs for both male and female students.  It was aimed to provide them knowledge, to avoid such drugs, as preventive treatment .

Socialisation of drugs is crucial for teenagers because it can damage five aspects of life, including biological, psychological, sociological, cultural, and spiritual.

Ustadz Rosyid. S.Pd as a teacher said, this program of socialisation is a collaboration between Tazkia IIBS Malang and National Narcotics Bureau (BNN) Malang. He noted that the number of drug abuse in students is considerable, as cited by Tirto.id, 28.32% of drug abuse users is students. Interaction with friends out of their custody can be the main factor. "We offered them knowledge that narcotics are widely varied and it is needed to be known to not be misguided", he said.

In the first session, BNN, represented by Prastiwanti Nugroho, explained that the victim of drug abuse is increasing year by year, thus the mortality because of drug abuse is higher. Students, misinformed about the types of narcotics, contributed in the rise. "The are dozens , even more than 200 types of narcotics registered and prohibited to use," says Nugroho.

Socialisation about the danger of narcotics need to be held often to remind teenagers to avoid those forbidden drugs. "The more frequent delivered, the more firm in the mind of teens. It, such as, reminds a muslim for five-time prayers," says Nugroho.

Kinds of narcotics such as sweet or glue have already spreaded out freely within pupils and communities. Abusive drugs are focused to narcotics, psychoactive drugs and addictive substances. The main reason for its prohobition is addictive, therefore the users cannot stop taking once they have started and feeling pleasure when consuming them. "It must be special method to rehabilitate drug users in specific long time," he said in front of the whole students.

Drug users must be rehabilitated to get well and socially accepted. The first stage is medical remedy (detoxification), healing process under doctor supervision to reduce withdrawal symptoms. The second, non-medical rehabilitation with various programs in the rehabilitation center, such as therapeutic communities (TC) program, 12-step program, and so on.

The most uncomfortable and long time-consuming process is reconnecting drug users to society. The communities should accept them without any discrimination. "The seminar is supposed to introduce drugs and comprehend the danger to avoid them therefore the students can have bright future," Nugroho closed the statement.
